Sundaygirl is a group of musicians dedicated to the faithful reproduction of the music, attitude and energy of one of the most influential and important bands of the 70’s and 80’s, and RIGHT NOW – BLONDIE!

Deborah Harry, Chris Stein and the musicians who star in this seminal band created a sound and atmosphere that thrilled first the tough, jaded punk rockers of CBGB’s on the Bowery in New York City (where Sundaygirl is based); then won over the entire world with their creativity, sensitivity to musical change, and of course, sexuality embodied in perhaps the finest female singer of the modern rock era.

In re-creating the rock essence and good-time ambiance of this outstanding band, we dedicate ourselves to being as close to the presentation of an actual Blondie performance as possible, with authentic clothing styles, stage props, instruments, and attitude. We promise nothing less than to entertain our audience with a pop-art (Chris’ term) viewpoint and power-pop (Debbie’s term) production that will have you singing along, pumping your fists and dancing to the irresistible pulse.

Our repertory includes any and all songs performed live by Blondie themselves, including covers, and fresh new songs by Blondie-influenced modern bands, like Sheryl Crow and No Doubt. The Sundaygirl band expertly and realistically reproduce the driving beat, melodic backdrop and musical intensity that only years of experience and live performance can bring. From the early force of  “X Offender” to the dance mania of “Rapture” and the full-on drive of “One Way Or Another”, the group backs Donnell with all the zeal and passion that the boys in Blondie give to Debbie herself.
